Inter school Tag Rugby Championship was held on 31st October, 2008 at KISS campus. The Championship was organized by Kalinga Institute of Social Science with the support of the Tag Rugby Development Trust, U.K. The Chairman of the trust Mr. Martin Hansford was present to grace the occasion. The matches started at 11:00 a.m and continued till 3:00 p.m.
Eight teams from different schools participated in the Championship. The final game was held between KISS Lions team and Padasahi High school. The KISS Lions team won the championship.
The closing ceremony meeting was held in the afternoon. Hon’ble Minister of Excise & Tourism, Sri Debi Prasad Mishra Graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He was welcomed by Secretary, Dr. Achyuta Samanta. Mr. Priyadarshi Mishra, Vice-President, Orissa Rugby Association and Mr. Jibanananda Das, Secretary People for animal were also present on the ocassion. The Chief Guest awarded the Championship and Runners up Trophy.
